PURPOSE:To produce a low-cost sealed battery with excellent liquid leakage resistance by using a sealing ring with an L-shaped cross section which has a concave area in the inner periphery of the upper surface of the raised section and placing the gate hole of a runner on the concave area. CONSTITUTION:A sealing ring 1 with an L-shaped cross section has a concave area 3 in the inner periphery of the upper surface of a raised section 2. A runner 4 is used in such a manner as to locate the gate hole on the concave area 3. Due to the above structure, gate burrs produced during the time when the ring 1 is detached from the runner 4 are curled toward the sealing plate during sealing. Therefore, there is no possibility that liquid leakage occurs in the battery, thereby stabilizing its characteristics. |
