PURPOSE:To suppress the current increasing rate when a leading load is turned ON by demagnetizing the residual magnetism of a saturable reactor by the discharge of the load stored in a snubber of a gate turn OFF thyristor. CONSTITUTION:An inverter circuit has a gate turn OFF thyristor (GTO)2, a reactor 31, and a snubber circuit having snubber capacitors 6, 8, as shown. In this case, charges of snubber capacitors 6U, 6X are discharged through resistors 5U, 5X so as to demagnetize the remaining magnetization of the reactor 31U of a GTO2U at the discharging time of the snubber circuit of the GTO2X and similarly to demagnetize the remaining magnetization of the reactor 31X of the GTO2X at the discharging time of the snubber circuit of the GTO2U. Thus, the electromagnetic energy which affects the influence at the turning OFF time of the delay load operation can be reduced. |
