METHOD FOR MASKING ARTICLE TO BE COATED

PURPOSE:To certainly perform masking without allowing a masking material to flow into an unnecessary part, by placing an O-ring around a disc shaped piece and using a low viscosity flowable resin as the masking material. CONSTITUTION:An O-ring 4 having an inner diameter slightly larger than the outer diameter of a disc shaped piece 2 is placed around said piece 2 and a low viscosity flowable resin 3 having low bonding strength is flowed in the gap between both of the them and cast on the head part of the disc shaped piece 2. By this method, said resin is prevented from flowing into an unnecessary part and masking can be performed surely.
