PURPOSE:To start rapidly and surely reforming reaction by providing a gaseous hydrogen line to a raw gas line, and adding gaseous hydrogen to raw gas which is supplied into a reformer tube after the elevation of the temp. of the reforming catalyst bed is completed. CONSTITUTION:Gaseous nitrogen is sent into a reformer tube 2 from a gaseous nitrogen line 9 through a heater 10, and the outside of the reformer tube 2 is heated with the high-temp. gas which is burned in a combustion chamber 4 to elevate the temp. of the reforming catalyst bed in the reformer tube 2 and simultaneously to elevate the temp. of the conversion catalyst bed in a converter 8. Then steam is supplied in the same way from a steam line 7 to elevate the temp. of each catalyst bed to a specified temp. After the elevation of temp. is completed, raw gas and steam from a raw gas line 6 and the steam line 7 are mixed and supplied into the reformer tube 2, and hydrogen is simultaneously injected into the raw gas line 6 from a gaseous hydrogen line 11 by opening a regulating valve 12. Each catalyst in the reformer tube 2 and the converter 8 is activated in this way, and the reaction is rapidly started. |
