PURPOSE:To permit to start the water turbine smoothly by a method wherein the inlet pressure of the water turbine is inputted into a function generator, into which the conditions of control are memorized, and the opening degree of guide vane for the water turbine upon starting is set by the output signal of the function generator. CONSTITUTION:The output of a water turbine inlet pressure detector 18 is sent to the function generator 19. A starting opening degree curve 21 showing the characteristics of the opening degree of the guide vane with respect to static heads is being preset in the function generator 19. The function generator 19 operates the opening degree of the guide vane based on the opening degree curve and adds a feedback signal by an adder 20, thereafter, outputs it into the guide vane driving circuit 8. According to this method, the guide vane driving circuit controls the opening degree of the guide vane based on the input signal thereof. |
