PURPOSE:To facilitate the fitting and extraction of a coupling in the shaft end structure of a motor to be fitted thereon with the coupling by inserting a tapered plug in the center hole of the shaft of the motor to adjust the interference thereof, and as well be using hydraulic pressure for fitting and extracting the coupling on and from the shaft end of the motor. CONSTITUTION:A tapered plug 2 is inserted into a tapered center hole which is formed in the shaft end 1 of a motor from the end face thereof to adjust the thickness of the outer periphery thereof. Further, the extraction of the tapered plug is made such that hydraulic pressure is applied after a bolt 3 is pulled out and then air-bleed is carried out. Therefore, the outer diameter of the shaft end may be adjusted to select an optimum interference, and further, the coupling may be extracted even if the coupling is heated not so high. |
