PURPOSE:To make a rear suspension compact and its center of gravity low, by moving a bell crank back and forth in conjunction with the movement of a swing arm, disposing a cushion unit in parallel with the swing arm, and coupling one end of the cushion unit to the bell crank. CONSTITUTION:A support shaft 8 for a bell crank 3 is provided nearly in the middle of the range of rocking of a swing arm 2. Both the ends 3a, 3b of the bell crank 3 are located in an upper and a lower positions, and the upper end 3a is coupled to the central portion of a horizontal rod 9 by a rod 5. As a result, the bell crank 3 is moved back and forth according as the swing arm 2 is moved up and down. A horizontal rod 11 is supported at both the right and left ends thereof on a bracket 12 at the front end of the swing arm 2. The front and rear ends of a cushion unit 4 are coupled to the central portion of the horizontal rod 11 and the lower end 3b of the bell crank 3 in such a manner that the cushion unit is disposed nearly in parallel with the swing arm 2. |
