PURPOSE:To draw efficiently a contour line by determining an averaged point obtained by averaging the addresses of points satisfying the conditions of the contour line as a picture drawing point and repeating the picture drawing point determining processing to determine the succeeding picture drawing points. CONSTITUTION:The temperature distribution of a subject 2 is raster-scanned and measured by an infrared-ray detector 3, temperature data obtained by the measurement are written in a memory of a computer 4 as a reading picture and the temperature level of the 1st contour line to be optionally obtained is specified by the computer 4. The current point of a temperature level equal or close to the specified temperature level is found out and the start point of picture drawing is determined on the basis of an averaging method for finding out the contour line conditions of all points within a range including a reference point by regarding the current point as the reference. Then, the average value of the addresses of the satisfying points or the correlation of the satisfying points on the basis of a directional matrix of horizontal/vertical directions or the like is found out to determine a picture drawing point on a directional point having the highest correlation value. |
