摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of the captioned device and make it light-weight while keeping assembly accuracy needed to assure a high quality picture image by disposing the center of a fixing metal frame on a plane directed in parallel and positioned in opposition to a linear hot cathode, and aligning the center of a plurality of linear electrodes with the center of the fixing metal frame. CONSTITUTION:Conductive ribbon lines 51 lie in a X-Z plane, to which tensile force P2 is applied in the X direction, while the stress therein due to said tensile force is then distributed in a symmetrical relation with respect to a line Za=ha/2 in the Z direction. The line is assumed to be the central axis of load applied to the conductive ribbon lines 51. While, a neutral axis defined by a cross sectional shape of the metal frame 52 in the Y direction is located on a line Zb=hb/2. The loading central axis of the conductive ribbon lines 51 and the neutral axis of the metal frame 52 in the Y axis direction are brought into coincidence with each other on a line O3O3', whereby the moment of force owing to the tensile force applied to the conducting ribbon lines 51, is prevented from being produced on the metal frame 52. Namely, whereas the conductive ribbon lines 51 produce the moments of force on portions other than the loading central axis, each of these moments is directed oppositely and equal to each other in its magnitude with respect to the loading central axis, whereby those moments corresponding to each other are cancelled out with each other.
