PURPOSE:To obtain a distored plate from a flat plate using a device of small scale with small wear of a die by heating a minute section of flat plate, especially sintered hard alloy, and after distorting the part by both ends holding, shaping it by passing it through a die provided with a distorted groove. CONSTITUTION:An end of above-mentioned flat plate 1 is fixed by an indenting punch 2, and another end is put in a die 3. Force in the direction shown by the arrow is applied to the die 3 making the direction of advance of the flat plate an axis, and the flat plate 1 is distorted. During the while, the flat plate 1 is heated at a heating zone 4 in front of above-mentioned another end. The distorted part is thrusted into the distorted groove in the die 3 successively by the force in the direction of indentation of the indenting punch 2. The flat plate 1 is cooled and shaped in the die 3 and taken out from an exit port of the die 3 as a distorted plate 1'. The heat the minute section of the flat plate 1, high frequency induction heating method is used in the heating zone 4, and the flat plate 1 is heated directly.
