A very lightweight case made of plastic possesses, on one side, a hook 1 curved downwards in order to enable it to be hung from an arm. Opposite the hook is a single large opening 3 which enables a ball of knitting wool to slide around inside the case. Finally, a slit 4 connects the opening 3 to a small-diameter hole 2 into which the knitting wool unwinds. This invention relates to all types of containers capable of receiving a ball of knitting wool so as to allow the knitter to work in complete safety. <IMAGE>
