Fluorescers for use in chemiluminescent mixtures having aqueous or organic solvent systems. The compounds have the formula <IMAGE> (I) wherein m is an integer from 1 to 5, n is an integer from 1 to 20, and R represents hydrogen, or C1-C5 alkyl. In the preferred embodiments m is 1, n is 5, and R is methyl, or hydrogen.
