PURPOSE:To take a copy of necessary size through simple operation by setting variable power through a reading means and a variable power arithmetic means when original size and copy size are specified and by using a power varying means which sets reduction or maximum power when the set power exceeds the maximum power. CONSTITUTION:When original size and copy size are specified with a zoom specifying key 2, the reading means 19 reads them, the variable power arithmetic means 20 receives its output and operates its power, and a discrimination means 21 receives its signal and discriminates whether or not the variable power is less than the maximum reduction or enlargement power of the copying machine. When the power is less than the maximum power, an optical system 26 is set to the operated power and the power is displayed on a display part 6. When the power exceeds the maximum power, a power variation step arithmetic means 24 sets the optical system 26 to the necessary quantity of copies and variable power for each copying operation and they are displayed on the display part 6. Consequently, a copy of necessary size is taken easily. |
