NEW MATERIAL:A sulfamoylbenzoic acid derivative shown by the formula I (R1 is Cl, or phenoxy; R2 is H, halogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, or methylenedioxy). EXAMPLE:4-Chloro-N-[4-(2-methoxyphenyl)-1-piperazinyl]-3-sulfamoylbenz amide. USE:A remedy for edema resulting from diseases of the heart, the kidney, or the liver. The remedy for cardiac incompetence and hypertension. A remedy for hyperuricacidemia, or gout. PREPARATION:A sulfamoylbenzoic acid shown by the formula II or its reactive derivative is reacted with a piperazine shown by the formula III by the use of a condensation agent to give a sulfamoylbenzoic acid derivative shown by the formul I. |
