PURPOSE:To recognize easily a corresponding key, and to reduce fatigue by constituting a depressing surface of a programmable function key of a display device. CONSTITUTION:A keyboard input device is constituted of a host computer 30 and a keyboard display terminal 31. Also, the terminal 31 is constituted of a display controlling circuit 33, a keyboard controlling circuit 34, and a keyboard 37, etc. In this case, a keyboard controlling circuit (PF key display side) 35 is provided newly in order that a display of a command repertory is executed by a display device of a depressing surface of a programmable function key (hereinafter, a PF key) on the keyboard 37. In this way, an editor operated on the host computer 30 executes a display of the command repertory which can be inputted to the PF key depressing surface on the keyboard 37 by depressing its key.
