PURPOSE:To precisely observe an optional specific position of a picture by distributing plural memory planes in accordance with necessary information density with respect to at least one sheet out of plural sheets of reference chrominance digital data and storing the data in a memory. CONSTITUTION:A color video signal outputted from a television camera 13 is supplied to a separator circuit 14 and separated to three primary color signals R, G and B, which are converted into R, G and B digital data by A/D convertors 15R, 15G and 15B, respectively, and inputted to a memory 17. It is constituted of plural sheets of memory planes, distributes them in accordance with a necessary information density with respect to at least one out of R, G and D digital data, and stores the data in the distributed memory plane. Picture data read out from the memory 17 is inputted to D/A convertors 19R, 19G and 19B, and converted into analog signals.
