PURPOSE:To easily remove the double feeding of sheets of paper due to nipping between two rolls by mounting a retard roll, etc. on a rotatable arm and rotating said roll, etc. only in the direction in which it parts from a feed roll. CONSTITUTION:Sheets of paper 2 piled on a paper feeding table 1 are pressed by a draw-out roll 4 by means of a spring 3. The sheets of paper 2 which are drawn out one at a time by means of the roll 4, are introduced between a feed roll 5 and a friction retard roll 6, where double feeding is prevented, and are further sent forward. The shaft of the roll 6 is supported by one end of a lever 8, whose other end serves as a nip releasing handle 9, while its middle part is rotatably fitted to a roll pressing force adjusting lever 11 by means of a pin 10, and the both levers 8, 11 are drawn toward each other by means of a spring 12. And, by drawing the handle 9 in the arrow direction, the roll 6 is separated from the roll 5, to remove the sheets of paper being doubly fed. |
