<p>The zigzag elements determine the wave reflection power and the solidity of the breakwater floating or bearing on the bottom of the sea. In the bearing breakwater, the length (1) of each zigzag element is at least equal to or exceeds, preferably 5 to 8 times or more, the water depth (d). The total height (h) of the side walls (11) is at least equal or higher than the water depth (d). In the floating breakwater, the length (1) of each zigzag element is at least equal to or longer than half of the foreseeable largest wavelength. The total height (h) of the breakwater side walls (11) is at least equal to or exceeds 1 to 1.5 times the foreseeable maximum wave height. The zigzag elements (7, 8) are interconnected by means of oscillation-dumping and connection members (9).</p> |
