<p>The invention relates to electronic installations using computers accessible by not necessarily qualified users and which belong to organisations regarded as third-parties as compared with the users. This relates, in particular, to distributors of banknotes or to equipment provided for the automatic and unsupervised distribution of commodities such as vehicle fuels. In these cases, it is important to be certain that there is agreement between the information provided to the user and that taken into account by the owner of the computer, so as to avoid any dispute which it would be very difficult to resolve since the only objective factors would be directly dependent on the installation itself. According to the invention this problem is settled by providing for a comparison between the data memorised by the computer and those provided uncoded to the user, either by issuing a printed ticket or by display. For this purpose, the data to be presented uncoded are transferred to a unit 4 for controlling the uncoded presentation and, simultaneously, they are held in a memory 11 of the computer 3 whilst, moreover, these data provided uncoded are viewed by optical means 7 and are translated into coded information in order to input them into the computer 3 so as to proceed with a comparison. Depending on the result of this comparison, the computer intervenes in the procedure, if necessary interrupting it and informing the user. <IMAGE></p> |
