A drying apparatus for drying lots (2) of drying material under closed gas circulation conditions comprises a platform (11) positioned in a water bath (3), to the platform attached drying equipment (12), means (5, 8) and space (6) to load or unload said lots to and fro said platform, a heat insulated and essentially gas tight hood (13) dimensioned to cover lots (2) drying equipment (12), perimeter of platform (11) and interior gas circulation space (14) and means for withdrawal of the hood (13) to a space (7) apart from the handling space (6). |
