PURPOSE:To secure a stable scanning line, by dividing a deflecting electrode, distributed in opposition to a phosphor screen, into at least the same number as that of field scanning lines, while varying the deflecting electrode to be added to each divided electrode in sapce between some voltage being higher than cathode voltage and the cathode voltage themselves in regular sequence. CONSTITUTION:Each deflecting electrode 27 is composed of stripelike electrodes divided into the same number as at least one field scanning line numbers in a forward direction, and each electrode potential is changed over to cathode potential in regular sequence whereby deflection takes place. A divided electrode 27a alone, which is most approximate to a shield electrode 26 among deflecting electrodes 27 is made to be voltage being higher than cathode voltage, and other divided electrodes 27b, 27c... are once made to be the cathode voltage, then voltage of these divided electrodes 27b, 27c... is changed over to higher voltage than the cathode voltage in regular sequence whereby deflection is thus securable. |
