PURPOSE:To detect assuredly the generation of a fault and to improve the reliability of a monitor control system by detecting automatically a fault of a direct access interface part formed between an upper computer and an interface device. CONSTITUTION:A device 3 to be controlled such as a pump, etc. of a monitor control system is connected to an upper computer 1 such as a minicomputer device, etc. via an interface device 2. Then input/output interfaces 16 and 17 are provided between a CPU4 of the computer 1 and an input/output bus 11 of the device 2 in addition to a DMA (direct memory access) interface part 12. While a fault detection area is provided to one of both additional memories. Thus the fault detection data is written and read out via the part 12, and the coincidence is decided for the detection data. Then an interruption is applied to the CPU4 via interfaces 16 and 17 when a fault occurs due to the discordance of the data. Thus the fault processing is carried out. |
