Platform having a base 1 of polygonal shape which is extended towards the surface by a wall having at its lower part and at least over a height corresponding to the ice layer a polyhedral zone 3 of slight slope. This zone is extended at its upper part by a polyhedral zone 4, of steeper slope, the number of dihedrals of which is twice that of the dihedrals of the zone of slight slope. A dihedral of the zone of steeper slope is positioned in the middle of the angle formed between two dihedrals of the zone of slight slope and is connected to the face bounded by the two said dihedrals below the water level. <IMAGE>
