Building being secured against subsidence damage

A description is given of a building being secured against subsidence damage which, in particular for eliminating slanting, preferably exhibits a plurality of lifting apparatuses which are accommodated in cutouts in load-bearing walls of the building. In the case of such a building the invention provides that the cutouts are made in the inner side of the load-bearing walls and terminate blind before the outer side of the building and on a foundation which is separate from the load-bearing building walls and on which the lifting apparatuses are supported. The invention also provides that the outer side of the load-bearing walls and the outer edges of the foundations are provided with a closed seal which exhibits a reserve of material which can be used up when separating the load-bearing walls from the foundation.
