PURPOSE:To provide a recorder in which recorded images can be corrected without need to confirm the kind of an ink ribbon, a correction tape or the like and which is easy to operate, simple in construction and low in cost, by a construction wherein plural kinds of correction tapes are fitted in, and one of the correction tapes is selectively used. CONSTITUTION:Plural kinds of correction tapes are fitted in, and one of the correction tapes is selectively used. Namely, two correction tapes 7, 7' are disposed on the outside of and on the lower side of a printing ink ribbon 6. When printing or correcting, the ink ribbon 6 or either one of the correction tapes 7, 7' is shifted by a ribbon shifter 1 to be intermediately located between a type of a daisy wheel and a recording paper, and a hammer 2'' is impacted through these members. A detector 8 constituted of, e.g., a reflection-type photo-sensor discriminates the kind of an ink ribbon enclosed in a cassette fitted in the recorder, based on the reflectance of a detection member such as a metallic foil fitted to a part of the cassette. |
