PURPOSE:To prevent a piston from rattling, by connecting a piston body and a ceramic piston crown with the use of a detonation receiving surface and a checking surface which are radially formed. CONSTITUTION:A ceramic piston crown 2 is formed in the top section 1a of an aluminum piston body 1. A conical detonation receiving surface 5 which bears thereon a compression force transmitted from the piston crown 2 to the bottom of the piston body 1, is formed in the contact surface 4 of the piston body 1. Further, there is formed a ring-like checking surface 6 which bears a coming-off force transmitted from the piston crown 1 to the top section 1a of the piston body 1. Each of both surfaces 5, 6 is formed on radial lines R extending from a point P on the center line C of the piston P. Further, ring-like soft heat-resistant resilient members 7, 8 are disposed in the center section. With this arrangement it is possible to prevent the piston from rattling. |
