PURPOSE:To improve the using efficiency of a commodity reservation system by reserving tentatively the commodities, etc. by means of an exclusive tentative reservation device and then cancelling automatically the tentative reservation in case this tentative reservation is not changed to a final reservation through a ticket vending device within a prescribed period. CONSTITUTION:Plural reservation terminal devices 22 containing an input device for selection and tentative reservation data of commodities, a reader for customer identification codes and plural ticket vending terminal devices 23 which issue reservation tickets are set at a CATV shopping center. These devices 22 and 23 are connected to a reservation center 1 from a terminal controller 21 via a communication medium. The center 1 transmits and receives the communication information via a head end 11 and stores the customer identification codes, etc. to a center file 14. A CPU12 invalidates the reservation data stored in the file 14 in case the final reservation is not carried out even though a prescribed period of time elapses after the reservation data is stored to the file 14. |
