PURPOSE:To obtain the titled antibody, by immunizing an animal immunologically tolerant to normal human cell with human tumor cell, etc., fusing the antibody-producing cell with myeloma cell of said animal, and selecting and culturing the obtained hybridoma. CONSTITUTION:An animal which is made to be immunologically tolerant to normal human cell or normal human tissue or their cell wall component, is immunized with human tumor cell, tumor tissue or their cell wall component. The antibody-producing cell of said immunized animal is fused with myeloma cell to obtain hybridoma. A hybridoma capable of producing a monoclonal antibody reactive specifically and solely to said tumor cell or tumor tissue or their cell wall component is selected from the produced hybridoma. The selected hybridoma is cultured in a medium or converted to ascites in an animal to obtain a monoclonal antibody reactive specifically with said human tumore cell or tumor tissue or thier cell wall component. The antibody is useful for the diagnosis of tumor, etc.
