PURPOSE:To promote impregnation well while expelling air bubbles in a base material and obtain a prepreg capable of forming laminated boards without causing voids, warpage nor torsion, etc., by applying ultrasonic vibration through a resin solution to the base material in passing the base material through the resin solution. CONSTITUTION:A base material 1 is passed through and impregnated with a resin solution 2 and dried to give a prepreg 3. In the process, ultrasonic waves from an ultrasonic generator 5 are applied through the resin solution 2 to the base material 1 while passing the base material 1 through the resin solution 2. The base material 1 is impregnated with the resin solution 2 while being passed through a resin tank 4 filled with the resin solution 2 and vibrated with ultrasonic waves from the ultrasonic generator 5. The impregnated material 1 is then led to a heating zone 6 by guide rolls 9 and dried to give the aimed prepreg 3.
