<p>Apparatus for converting the energy available from water motion into electrical energy. The apparatus contains a series of floats (3) whose up and down action is converted to an in and out horizontal motion which drives a piston pump (13). The hydraulic energy produced is stored in one or more accumulators (17). The controlled release of the hydraulic fluid drives a turbine-generator combination (24/25). The up and down wave motion is magnified by a series of ramps (28) and knife-edged blocks (1).</p> |
