摘要 PURPOSE:To achieve the optimum sensitivity without the effects of the vibration and acceleration of a moving body attaching part, by supporting a base table around the center of gravity of a tuning fork, which approximately agrees with the center of gravity of the base table, and making the vibrating frequency of the tuning fork approximately equal to the resonance frequency obtained by the specified expression. CONSTITUTION:Two legs 1-5', which hold an attaching part 30' of a piezoelectric element 30 for detection, are extended from both ends of a counterweight part 1-5. The center of gravity of a vibrating system comprising a tuning fork 1, an element 30 and the like is made to agree approximately with the intersection of the Z axis and the X axis. A tubular body 41 is fixed to an L shaped metal 43 on a base table 44 through an elastic member 42. The tuning fork 1 and the like are held in the tubular body 41 in an airtight manner. The resonance frequency f0 around the Z axis satisfies the expression in the Figure, where IS and IF are the inertial moments of the supporting part and the tuning fork, and K is the spring constant of the element 30. The value of f0 is made approximately equal to the vibrating frequency of the tuning fork fF. Thus the effects of the vibration and acceleration of the attaching part of a moving body, whose angular speed is to be measured, are not received. Since the two vibrating frequencies are made approximately equal, the optimum sensitivity can be obtained.
