The invention relates to a device for altering the ram stroke in an eccentric press with an eccentric shaft, with at least one ram-driving connecting rod which is eccentrically mounted on the said eccentric shaft, with an adjustable eccentric bush between the eccentric shaft and the connecting rod, and with a coupling ring which is axially displaceable on the eccentric shaft, is connected to this shaft so that it cannot rotate in relation to it, resiliently engages with the eccentric bush in a positive manner and can be released from the eccentric brush by introduction of a pressure medium. The coupling ring takes the form of a step piston and is displaceable in a sealed manner in a step cylinder which is fixedly connected to the eccentric bush. The coupling ring has a central bore which is eccentric in relation to its outside circumference and by means of which it is pushed coaxially across the eccentric shaft.
