A snap stud usable in window hardware, such as window operators and window hinges, for releasably pivotally interconnecting a pair of members has a shank 40 extending from a first of the members 22 and provided with an external peripheral groove 52 which mounts a C-ring 60 of spring music wire. The C-ring has a retention position partially extending beyond the periphery of the stud for overlying a second of the members and a compressed release position substantially entirely within the periphery of the stud, with the movement of the C-ring to the compressed release position occurring automatically in assembly and disassembly of said members. <IMAGE> |
