PURPOSE:To prevent shifting of long sheet material by constructing a turning device, into a wince type made of a combination of both sideboards, a plurality of bars and an universal joint thereby rotating the turning device smoothly and coinciding the turning direction of long sheet material and the rotation of turning device. CONSTITUTION:A turning device for changing the carrying direction of long sheet material to random angle on an advancing plane when carrying under developed state is comprised of a pair of sideboards 1, 1' arranged in parallel, a plurality of bars 4, 4', 4'', 4''' coupled in parallel between said sideboards 1, 1' through a universal joint 3 and rotary shafts 2, 2' coupled respectively to said sideboards 1, 1'. The rotary shafts 2, 2' are rotated in the range of 0-45 deg. against the centerline of the device then the sideboards 1, 1' are rotated under this state to move the point (a1) of bar as desired while describing a locus inclined against the center line O-O' thus to coincide the turning direction of long sheet material with the rotation of turning device and to prevent shifting of long sheet material caused through rotation. |
