PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of secondary injection and cavitation, by installing a variable throttle and an automatic valve capable of regulating valve opening pressure in a side passage interconnecting both upstream and downstream sides of a discharge valve, in case of a fuel-injection pump for a Diesel engine. CONSTITUTION:A regulating rod 502 is rotatably and oiltightly inserted into a discharge valve metal device 3 in a side passage interconnecting both upstream and downstream sides of a discharge valve 4 as well as free of opening or closing the side passage 501, and after interconnection, it will function as a throttle. In addition, at the lower part, there is provided with a needle valve 503, and an automatic valve is constituted of a push rod 5031, a spring 5032 and a spring bearing 5033 whereby valve opening pressure is regulated with rotation of the spring bearing 5033. With this valve opening pressure and the throttle regulated, secondary injection and cavitation are extensively preventable and, what is more, low fuel consumption is kept by favorable combustion for years so extensively as well as durability is improved too. |
