PURPOSE:To obtain a waterproof type electronic clinical thermometer by providing a weight and a pair of switch cut pieces inside a closed case. CONSTITUTION:A pair of switch cut pieces 2, a spring 3 and a metal ball 4 are provided inside a closed case 1. When this thermometer is shaked, the ball 4 moves to short-circuit the cut pieces 2. With the short-circuiting of the cut pieces 2, an analog switch control circuit 7 always energized with a battery 6 closes an analog switch 8 to turn ON the power source to a timer circuit 9, a measurement display circuit 10 and an LCD11. With the power source ON, the circuit 10 starts to measure body heat and display the results on the LCD11. Upon the closing of the switch 8, the circuit 9 starts measuring time and sends a signal to a circuit 7 after a fixed time passes. Receiving the signal, the circuit 7 opens the switch 8 to complete the measurement display of bodily heat. This can make the device waterproof perfectly. |
