The child's seat of round metal tube with backrest has fixing devices securing it to a bicycle. It has a U-shaped portion with arms (3) extending downwards, being then bent sideways and backwards, up again through 180 deg. and finally rearwards through 90 deg. and welded to the backrest (5). The rest is also U-shaped, with its ends passing between the arms of the first portion (3), to which they are welded being finally bent downwards through 90 deg. for insertion in a mounting bracket (7) comprising three parallel lengths of tube welded together. The middle one of these tubes is permanently fixed to the saddle tube of the bicycle frame, so that the free ends (6) referred to fit in the other two and are locked there by pins. This keeps the seat at a set height above the mudguard and luggage rack.
|
