Then, each distance from two reference points to the car body 1 is measured by a first measuring apparatus B, a difference between the measured distances is calculated and sent to a control unit, where the difference between the measured distances is compared with a difference between distances, which are previously set according to the types of cars, an angle and right and left distances, which are required to be corrected, and determined, and the rotary table 27 and the right and left moving table are moved by an adjusting signal, to carry out positioning. Accordingly, the relative position between a car body and a robot can be made securely constant at all times.</p>
