The device comprises a rotating support 6 with several chambers 48 for the filled sachets 46. Each chamber 48 may be successively connected to vacuum pumps and with the surrounding atmosphere by a pipe 50 and a duct 40, 31. For controlling the running of the operation for forming a vacuum and evacuation of the air, each chamber 48 is coupled with a throttle valve 35 which is controlled by a fixed cam disk 18. On the support 6 is mounted a ring 8 which comprises passage openings 15 and on which a connecting disk 9 provided with slots 26, 27, 28 is applied in an airtight manner. The slots 26, 27, 28 connect with the vacuum pumps and with the surrounding atmosphere and they may be brought into coincidence with the openings 15. The device is suitable in particular for the packaging of ground coffee. <IMAGE>
