PURPOSE:To improve the feeling of headrest by making the headrest movable back-and-forth with correspondence to the physique or taste of crew. CONSTITUTION:A stop release lever 17 is pivoted at one end to the other end of a stopper lever 14 through a shaft while the free end is extended to the side of fan-shaped member 12. It is constructed to be engaged selectively with the guide face 18a of a guide member 18 provided near the central portion of said member 12. When the release lever 17 is engaged with the guide face 18a, the stopper lever 14 will maintain such state as being rotated in releasing direction while when said lever 17 is disengaged at the inclined section 18b in front of the headrest, engaged state of stopper lever 14 is produced. Consequently, upon forward motion of the headrest under the state where the headrest frame 1 is inclined forwardly while the releasing lever 17 is engaged with the guide face 18a, a click 14a will move sequentially on the ratchet gear 13 and stop at the desired position. |
