PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. which is hardly stained by oil and has excellent adherability, pigment-dispersibility and workability, consisting of a specified copolymer and an aliph. hydrocarbon solvent. CONSTITUTION:0.1-2.0wt% alpha,beta-unsaturated carboxylic acid of formula I (wherein M is H, methyl), 0.1-2.0wt% dialkylaminoethyl (meth)acrylate of formula II(wherein R1 is methyl, ethyl) and 96-99.8wt% other copolymerizable alpha,beta-unsaturated monomer such as acrylonitrile are copolymerized to obtain a copolymer having a number-average MW of 5,000-100,000 and a solubility parameter of 9.0-9.5. The copolymer is dissolved in an aliph. hydrocarbon solvent such as mineral spirit.
