Hoist mechanism drive for bucket dredger systems

In the case of this bucket dredger system, the hoist mechanism drive is carried out by means of DC motors for large bucket volume capacities and large bucket depths. The DC motors are driven by a solid-state, wear-free thyristor phase-gating controller. The DC motors can also optionally be driven by a conventional Ward-Leonard generator.
