To safeguard washing and cleaning agents stored in cupboards under sink units against access by small children, the doors of these cupboards are to be provided with a child-proof device which can be operated without a key. For this purpose, a snap lock is actuated by means of a pull knob via a wire pull. If the pull knob is attached properly, the distance between the pull knob and door handle is so great that both cannot be reached at the same time (by small children), as is necessary for opening.
