PURPOSE:To prepare a composite membrane reduced in the generation of a pinhole and excellent in gas separation capacity, by coating a porous support with a solution of polyorganosiloxane having an amino group in a non-aqueous solvent and, thereafter, performing the crosslinking reaction of said polyorganosiloxane with a multifunctional reagent having reactivity with the amino group. CONSTITUTION:A solution prepared by dissolving polyorganosiloxane having an amino group in an org. solvent having no compatitility with water such as polymer solution prepared by dissolving amino modified silcone oil in hexane is applied to a porous support such as a polysulfone microporous membrane. Subsequently, a crosslinking agent solution prepared by dissolving a polyfunctional reagent having reactivity with the amino group of polyorganosiloxane in an org. solvent compatible with the solvent of the polymer solution, for example, a solution of trimedinic chloride in hexane is applied to the coated support to obtain a composite membrane wherein an amido crosslinked polysiloxane layer is closely adhered to the support. |
