PURPOSE:To prevent the overload of a table by providing a pair of material detectors to the table used for transporting a material and computing a speed reference of table by the 1st arithmetic unit and obtaining thereafter the speed reference by changing the 1st unit to the 2nd arithmetic unit used for correction. CONSTITUTION:An inlet side table 3 is provided with material detectors 5, 6 at a distance L1 therefrom, and an outlet side table 4 is provided with material detectors 7, 8 at a distance L2 therefrom. A mill speed reference Vm' is outputted from a mill-speed control device 11 to speed-reference arithmetic units 21, 22, 31, 32 of the tables 3, 4. The table reference speed is computed by the 1st arithmetic units 21, 31 based on a forward slip alpha and a draft beta till the front tip of a material 2 passes the detector 8, and thereafter the table reference speed is obtained by changing the units 21, 31 to the 2nd arithmetic units 42, 52 used for correction. Next the speed control is performed by the corrected signal by using control devices 12, 13, to prevent a table overload. |
