PURPOSE:To enhance the reliability by forming a PAM waveform by the oscillating phase of an inverter, and forming a PWM waveform by the combining phase of the inverter oscillating phase and the phase carrier, thereby eliminate the circuit for discriminating a mode. CONSTITUTION:A pulse pattern is stored in a memory 9 at every 60 deg. of an inverter oscillating phase at a PAM mode time, sequentially produced by a waveform shaper 13 to form gate signals Gu-Gz, thereby controlling a power inverter 22. A switch 22 is closed at a PWM mode time to combine the inverter oscillating phase thetas(t) and a carrier signal thetac(t), a pulse pattern stored in the memory 9 is read out to form a gate signal of the inverter 22. |
