PURPOSE:To improve its heat transmitting capacity by expanding a titled heat transmitting tube by applying high liquid pressure in the tube and bringing fins provided on the outer peripheral face into close contact with the heat transmitting tube. CONSTITUTION:Fins 12 are provided on the outer peripheral face of the heat transmitting tube 11 at specified intervals. When high liquid pressure is applied from a high pressure pump 14 to the inside of the heat transmitting tube 11, the liquid pressure acts uniformly, and the heat transmitting tube is expanded over whole length and whole peripheral face. Accordingly, fins 12 come into close contact with the outer peripheral face of the heat transmitting tube uniformly. By this way, the accuracy of coupling between the fins and heat transmitting tube is heightened, and its heat transmitting capacity is improved remarkably. Further, as working is made by simple equipment, uniform finned heat transmitting tubes of high performance can be mass-produced inexpensively.
