PURPOSE:To increase the life of a speed changer, by transferring a driving system from a speed change driving condition through the friction stepless speed changer to a directly-coupled driving condition without through the speed changer when a speed change ring reaches the predetermined position in a high speed side. CONSTITUTION:When a speed change ring 9, providing a cam device comprising cam surfaces 13, 14 and a roller 15 further adapting a pressing device 20 causing the speed change ring 9 to be transferred to a high speed side, reaches the predetermined position in the high speed side, a driving system is transferred to a directly-coupled driving system operated not via a speed changer. In this way, a life of the speed changer can be increased because a time for transmitting power via a speed change driving system is relatively reduced as compared with the total time for running a vehicle so as to reduce also the time for a speed change actuated part of the speed changer in relation to power transmission. |
