<p>PURPOSE:To improve the color reproducibility of color television and the S/N of a chrominance signal by setting the constitution ratio of the red light transmission part of the color separation mosaic filter for a color television image pickup to >=50%. CONSTITUTION:Cyan stripe filters 2 which cut off red light and yellow stripe filters 4 which cut off blue light are arrayed at specific intervals alternately together with all-color light transmission parts. Thus, a graphic charge pattern is formed on a photoelectric conversion surface and scanned with an electron beam to obtain a photoelectric signal of frequency corresponding to the filter array period and electron beam scanning speed. A pulsating signal component is extracted from the photoelectric signal to generate a television signal which has the same amplitude with said component and corresponding to red and blue. The width of the cyan stripe filters 2 is reduced, the constitution ratio of the red light transmission part is set to <=50%, and the red light component constitution ratio of the luminance signal in the television signal is set to >=25%.</p> |
