PURPOSE:To glycosylate an alcohol, etc. efficiently by a simple operation without using a heavy metal such as mercury, etc., by reacting pyranosyl fluoride, etc. with an alcohol, etc. in the presence of tetrafluorosilicon, etc. CONSTITUTION:(A) Pyranosyl fluoride or a furanosyl fluoride derivative (e.g., compound shown by the formula, etc.) is reacted with (B) an alcohol or its saccharide in the presence of tetrafluorosilicon or a trialkylsilyl triflate (trifluoromethanesulfonic acid trialkylsilyl ester) preferably at -20 deg.C- room temperature for 1-6hr, to give a glycosyl derivative of alcohol, etc.
